PLANNING AN OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

In the middle of December, we performed a technical day at our school, during which different classes worked on different projects. Given that we joined the project Gremo ven! – #School21, we decided to offer the eighth grade an outdoor classroom design challenge.

The students thus brought different materials – from natural to artificial: coloured paper, cardboard, plastic, foil, fabric, wood, cotton wool, pebbles, wool, etc. From these different materials, the students in groups made practical demonstrations of their own outdoor classroom ideas. Some groups thus produced excellent and interesting models that could be used as schedule for a real classroom, while other presentations were more imaginative and less realistic possibilities of realization.

In any case, the students really enjoyed making it, and we hope that they will enjoy it even more when they get a real outdoor classroom, with many accessories and elements that they imagined in their projects.
