On Monday, June 5, 2023, a training session for so-called multipliers took place at Gimnazija Franceta Prešerna in Kranj as part of the School21 project. Nearly 20 teachers from both schools participating in the project attended the training. The training was conducted by Socialna Akademija and BSC from Kranj. Under the guidance of Matej Cepin from Socialna Akademija, we immediately gathered and reviewed what we had learned from the training in Kranjska Gora and what we now want to pass on to our colleagues.

It is a challenging and responsible task that does not have a straightforward answer. The answer to the question posed is neither simple nor singular. However, it is certain that we want to pass on the enthusiasm for teaching in nature that we caught from our Norwegian partners to other teachers and professionals. Above all, we want to show that outdoor teaching is not just a whimsical notion, that nature itself is a great teacher, and that we have a wide range of teaching methods and approaches that we can also try in outdoor classrooms.

Outdoor classrooms will soon be established in both schools’ environments, and all partners are eagerly looking forward to it. The outdoor classroom will be the icing on the cake, providing a special experience and enriching the lessons for teachers, professionals, and, ultimately, students.

It’s worth trying – it works!
