We went on a science day in the forest with the 3rd and 4th grade pupils. Children developed creativity in group cooperation. They actively participated in tasks and gained new knowledge. In groups, they felt the environment, listened to sounds, smelled, touched and practically tested it. They learned about forest etiquette, sorted leaves, became real forest detectives, relaxed in the forest, learned about the most diverse tree species and fruits, played forest bingo, built a house for a forest gnome or a work of art (mandala, tree, house) with natural materials and assembled magical forest stories. Since children spend more and more time sitting and do not move enough, it is important that they spend the morning in motion and in the fresh air.
