Youth section hike to Sv. Jošt

After all the rain forecasts, the sun just shone and brought us a wonderful Saturday morning, which we used for our hike to St. Jošt above Kranj. The crowd in the parking lot indicated that Jošt would be full of visitors, and our group was also quite numerous.

We started our hike at the very bottom, near the power line. Due to the wet ground, the lower part of the path was quite muddy, so we had to watch our steps.

After the “winter nap”, our hikers quickly climbed to the top. We had to stop at the wooden sculptures erected by Kranj campers: Carniolan bee, crocodile, eagle and, at the top, chamois. With the spring flowers, they were an excellent motivation for our quick walk.

At the top, we had a longer rest, had lunch, writen notes in our books, chatted and played a little on the playground.

The wind, which chilled us uncomfortably, drove us from the top after half an hour of rest and brought us pleasantly tired back to our starting point.
