FINAL CONFERENCE

A project where we have been “shouting” for two years: we are GOING OUT!

On Wednesday, 17 April, the final conference of the School21 project took place in Kovačna. The main purpose of the project was to introduce Norwegian outdoor learning concepts in a pilot school in Kranj, namely the Franceta Prešeren Primary School and the Franceta Prešeren Gymnasium, which also acquired their first outdoor classrooms.

The School21 project aims to introduce outdoor learning in pilot Slovenian schools, building on the good practice of the “uteskola” from the Norwegian school system. In order to share knowledge and promote innovative approaches in education, the project implemented a number of activities, which were presented at the final conference.

The main part of the event was marked by a lecture by Dr Øystein Winje, a renowned Norwegian expert in outdoor learning. He impressed the participants with his experience and research in the field of outdoor learning. His presentation highlighted the potential of the Norwegian concept of “uteskola” and emphasised the importance of deep learning in modern education.

A panel with representatives of the project partners offered insights into the key findings of the project, highlighting their experiences, challenges and achievements!

The last part of the conference focused on concrete examples of outdoor learning in pilot schools.

After the evaluation of the event, there was: kranjska sausage and networking! 🙂

We would like to thank all participants, lecturers and partners for their contribution to the success of the project. GREMO VEN!
